Finalrunde Seniorenwohnhaus

we are in the final deciding round of the competition. First step with city planning aspects was to create a small village outside the city with the possibility for gathering and meeting of younger people and seniors. The heritage - protected `Wimmgut´ at the western part of the site forms the entrance of this ensemble. Starting from there the residential buildings and the senior citizens´ residences were placed next to each other along the nordern border.  With their arrangement they are building the new `Dorfplatz´. more»

a small number of row houses with energy efficiency A+, were embedded in the detailed structure at the outskirts of the rural village. Despite the housing cooperative and the claimed low costs new space visions for the future inhabitants could be implemented. more»

minimal house - width 2,6 meters -  for the client´s children. A tiny transparent gap acts as a link to theold,  existing house, built in 1904. more»

the client lives  in the house from 1902 for six years as a tenant. He experienced all advantages and disadvantages. As he came to us he had quite clear tasks: much more light, a contemporary living area and the reduction of tis high energy costs. more»

ancient buildings and evolved substance are non-existent, contemporary architecture is chancing cautiously and scattered to the region. A conscious contrast was given to the undefined surroundings by placing a white monolith with a selfconfident architectural expression in between. Take a bath under the stars in the evening. Have breakfast with a view of the Vienna Ferris Wheel and the Donauturm in the morning. Browse books while lying on the sofa with a view to the Ringturm and St. Stephans Dome in the afternoon. Chill out on the roof terrace in the evening with a view…. Here door to door, two acquainted families have made their living dreams reality. Both apartments have a grandiose panoramic outlook towards most of Vienna´s main sights. more»

The property lies on the edge of the vineyards above Krems with a wonderful view of the Danube valley. Every aspect of the concept for the house is a response to its gorgeous location. This five-storey residential building near Philadelphia Bridge was built on an empty lot to fill a roughly cubical space. The result became fourteen owner-occupied flats with flexible apartment layouts to make it possible for owners to create new room arrangements in the future, if necessary. more»

the design was strongly influenced by the expanse flat landscape and the permanently existing wind. The object is filling in the property rather than filling out the property.
