Amongst ten architects and designers we have been invited by Bene for a creative exchange. The competition SEAT ART was founded with the aim of generating seating shells of an existing chair into something totally new
The development and generating of the two basic elements as soft, floating surfaces enables the creation of a perfect form, fitting to human physical procedures ergonomically. Due to the textile quality we have chosen for that parts it is possible to adjust them to the changing basicforms in a moment. The basic parts are touching and enwraping the human body, who leaves an unique imprint on them.
It emerges a physical simulation of rigid and non rigid bodies generating a multiplicity of possible, controlled freezings to get completely different shapes -clothing, new furniture .....
