Old wine crates were upcycled and repurposed in various functions throughout the concept. The wordplay between “Wein” (wine) and “Wien” (Vienna) runs consistently through the venue, with wooden wine crates and Viennese expressions forming its foundation. The bar offers wines and specialties produced in Vienna.

The raw, untreated wood of the used wine crates combined with smooth surfaces and a black-and-white color scheme deliberately emphasize the created contrasts.

The owner is a wine connoisseur and a fan of Helmut Qualtinger’s writings. Viennese expressions—such as “Burnheidl” and others—were spray-painted onto the white walls in unexpected places. This design element invites guests on a kind of scavenger hunt throughout the entire venue.
