In the northern Burgenland, an office and production building has been designed as a simple, clearly structured volume. On the street-facing side, a representative office area is located, while the rear connects to a production and storage hall that opens up to the landscape. Through carefully planned sightlines—both internal views within the building and outward views into the green surroundings—a perceived extension of the workspaces is created, visually integrating the building with its environment.
SEAL
The length of the building volume, dictated by the production requirements, is architecturally addressed with an aluminum-glass curtain wall system. This façade interprets the basic elements – fixed sun-shading glass and operable panels – as a rhythmic composition. The entire structure is executed in steel due to the large spans, making it possible to visually convey different spatial uses from the exterior.
In contrast to the strict geometry of the front elevation, a graphically designed advertising space marks the entrance area. The design was based on cross-sections of the client’s sealing profiles, which were analyzed, rearranged, and animated. By integrating the element of time into the animation, the final appearance was created from carefully placed individual frames.
